Manama, June 8 (BNA): Information Minister Isa bin Abdulrahman Al-Hammadi received today Bahraini film director and photographer Khalifa Shahin Khalfan. He praised him as one of the pioneering photographers and film directors in Bahrain and the Gulf region, lauding his artistic creations.

The Information Minister emphasised that Bahrain would remain an oasis for creators and intellectuals thanks to the royal reform project and the climate of openness and freedom it fostered which paved the way for artistic, cultural and media creation. He also lauded the glorious artistic history of Khalifa Shahin, underlining the advanced status enjoyed by Bahraini artists at the regional and Arab level.

The minister pointed out Bahrain’s keenness to motivate artists, intellectuals and media persons in all fields out of belief in the noble role of art and the media in promoting good values and highlighting the cultural and historical heritage.
