Information minister receives Turkish ambassador

Manama, June 8 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister Isa bin Abdulrahman Al-Hammadi has lauded the solid deep-rooted Bahraini-Turkish relations, growing steadily in the political, economic, social and cultural fields.

He also praised the two friendly countries’ coordination in regional and international gatherings.

The minister made the statements as he received here today the Turkish Ambassador to Bahrain Hatun Demirer.

He discussed with the envoy ways to enhance the Bahraini-Turkish relations of friendship and cooperation in all fields, especially the media one.

They also discussed regional and global issues of joint interest.

The minister congratulated Turkey on the success of the recent parliamentary elections, wishing it further progress and prosperity so as to achieve joint interests, and support efforts to promote regional and global security, stability and peace.

The Turkish Ambassador praised the Bahraini government’s interest in consolidating bilateral relations, affirming her country’s interest in broadening areas of joint cooperation in various fields for the best interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples.
