Iranian charges d’affaires in Bahrain returns home
Tehran Times Political Desk

TEHRAN – Iranian Charges d’Affaires in Bahrain Mohammad Reza Babaei returned to Tehran late Sunday, ISNA reported.

The Bahraini Foreign Ministry had on Thursday called on the Iranian diplomat to leave the country within 72 hours.

Earlier, Manama had accused Tehran of forming and arming groups opposed to the Al Khalifa regime.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry dismissed Bahrain’s unfounded allegations that Tehran is interfering in the internal affairs of the tiny kingdom.

The Bahraini Foreign Ministry said Thursday it had asked its ambassador Rashid Saad al-Dosari to return home and declared Iran’s Babaei persona non grata and ordered him to depart.
