, a global software professional services firm and a Microsoft Strategic Education Partner, reshapes the concept of instruction and learning across the Middle East through the successful implementation of its leading education solutions in K-12 schools in Bahrain and Lebanon.
ITWorx
was selected to implement its social e-learning platform, the Connected Learning Gateway (CLG), in two schools in Bahrain under HE Sheikh Hamad’s ‘Schools of the Future’ program, playing a definitive part in redefining the roles of students, teachers, and parents. The program aims to steer public schools away from traditional forms of instruction and assessment to more technologically-based learning methods, with the ultimate goal of preparing future generations to establish an advanced information society and build a knowledge-based economy. CLG maximizes collaboration between all members in the learning environment enhancing communication and learning, and combines a wide range of tools for content authoring and social networking, as well as mobile applications. It can be easily accessed from any technological device anytime and anywhere including mobile phones.
Under this transformation, CLG allows students to create their own e-portfolios, set their own individual learning plans, and experience self-paced learning while sharing evaluation and assessment with teachers and peers. They can depend on visual and audio tools to interact within the education community via online discussions, forums, blogs, messaging, wall-to-wall comments and multimedia attachments. The combination of an easy and attractive dashboard, with user-friendly collaboration and communication tools, means that e-learning provides a richer and more rewarding learning environment, making it easier for each student to reach their full potential.
“Being engaging and multilingual, CLG has been implemented by numerous schools throughout Europe and the Middle East. These schools share a forward-thinking and radical approach to enhancing educational achievement and increasing the cost-effectiveness of providing exceptional resources which benefit students, parents, teachers, and school managers,” adds Hatem Sallam, Education General Manager at
