Japanese Premier Visits Bahrain National Museum

Manama, Aug. 25 (BNA)— Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received at Bahrain National Museum today Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.


She voiced interest in developing relations with Japan mainly in the cultural field, stressing that the modern history of Bahrain and Japan has known a remarkable progress in terms of cultural exchange between both countries.

On his part, the Japanese Premier stressed the need to open new channels for bilateral cooperation, expressing happiness about learning about Bahrain’s culture and heritage displayed at the museum.

The Japanese Prime Minister toured the museum and got informed about its valuable content which recounts Bahrain’s history of around 7000 years.
