Judicial, Legal Institute holds workshop

Manama, Nov.14 (BNA): The Bahrain Judicial and Legal Institute (JLSI) held a key workshop, which focused on the application of the provisions of international conventions before the national courts.


Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al-Khalifa attended the workshop, which was held under the theme: “Defining the limits and mechanisms of direct application of international conventions before the national judiciary.

Egyptian State Council President, International Criminal Court Judge Mohammed Amine Al-Mahdi and Court of Cassation Vice President Dr. Taha Abdul Mula conducted the workshop.

JLSI director Dr. Khalid Sari Seyam stressed the importance of the workshop which targets judges as part of the training programmes and sheds light on the role on the international agreements which are signed by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
