Manama, Mar 4 (BNA) – Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), Chairman of Court of Cassation, Advisor Salim bin Mohammed Al-Kuwari, today received a Shura delegation to discuss means of bilateral cooperation to boost Shura efforts in implementing the royal reforms.
Shura delegation comprised Dalal Al-Zayed of Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee and Dr. Jihad Al-Fadhil of Service Committee.
SJC Chairman expressed readiness to bolster cooperation with legislative branch to attain Bahrain’s supreme interest and ensuring judicial security.
He said that the judicial branch is a flexible institution that can be developed according to the variable circumstances take place in Bahraini society.
The Shura delegation was briefed on judicial mechanisms, SJC’s main achievements and reinforcing the rule of law.
An overview was also presented of the judicial strategic plan 2020, SJC reform efforts and promoting strategic partnerships by signing memorandums of understanding with National Institution for Human Rights.
The delegation was informed of benefiting from international experiences in Future Judges Project that aims to develop the judicial system in Bahrain.
