This is regarding the letter from Maria about the “Bahrain for all” event (GDN, November 25). Madam, many people were present at the event and even one organiser, from the same nation, who was performing an act got seriously injured.
Some people just got jealous and created trouble when others took to the stage. It was so immature and disappointing as everyone suffered.
Those people performed their part and when people from other nations took to the stage, these jealous people or trouble-makers merged with the audience and started shouting slogans. This sparked the violence and controversy about the compere promoting his nation.
The compere was chosen because he knew four different languages and was an expert in dealing with crowds – which the organisers knew better than us.
Hope such a beautiful event will occur again and again and hope cameras have captured images of the trouble-makers!
Such people and groups who can’t stand to see other clubs and nations singing and dancing for Bahrain – because of jealousy – should be banned in future.
I congratulate the organisers and hope that such events will be held again with peace and love.
