MANAMA: Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK) has announced new appointments to its executive management.
Abdul Hussain Bustani has been appointed to lead a team of consultants in BBK’s project management office.
The strategic project aims to optimise performance across the BBK group.
Hassaan Mohammed Burshaid has been promoted to the position of human resources and administration assistant general manager.
Mr Burshaid joined BBK in 1998 and has 18 years of experience in human resources.
He graduated from Oregon University in the US and has a post doctorate degree in human resources administration from DePaul University.
“These senior executive appointments in the bank stems from our belief and commitment in capitalising on the competencies and leadership skills of Bahrainis to take the bank forward,” said BBK chief executive Abdulkarim Bucheery.
“Mr Bustani, who has been entrusted with the responsibility of implementing this important project, is a qualified civil engineer from Nottingham university, with 37 years of experience in metal and banking industries.
“I am equally pleased that he will be succeeded from within the management cadre by Hassaan Burshaid, who is a highly qualified HR professional.”
