Kim Kardashian (Awais, PacificCoastNews.com) Kim Kardashian agreed to lend her celebrity status to the openings of Millions of Milkshakes shops in the Middle East, and now she’s planning to get educated about the region’s political situation in an admirable yet questionable humanitarian effort.

While Kardashian will still make appearances at shop openings in Kuwait and Bahrain, she will also meet with local leaders in both countries—perhaps taking a cue from former Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Angelina Jolie.

A source told TMZ, “Kim wants to be as informed as possible … so she can use her celebrity to help those in need and raise awareness about important issues in the area.”

Kardashian may also hope to bury her recent Twitter controversy around the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Earlier this month, she tweeted both “prayers” for Israel and “prayers” for Palestine, sparking outrage and death threats.
