Late HH Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad Al Khalifa Arabian Horseshow simply amazing

Manama, February17(BNA) Under the Patronage of His Majesty the King’s Representative for Charity and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President and Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Honorary President HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Late HH Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad Al Khalifa Arabian Horseshow was launched yesterday at the Military Sports Association in Al Raffah, Sakhir. The two-day event will be concluded today.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa said that organising the championship on a yearly basis, is a great responsibility that contributes in maintaining the sports and habits Inherited from the ancestors. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa wished success for all participants, stating that the competition will witness high technical levels and will contribute in enhancing participants’ performance and entertain the audience.

On his part, Breef President HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa said that the event is a special occasion to remember the Late HH Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad Al Khalifa and to promote a sport that has a strong connection to the Arabian history of Bahrain.

HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa highlighted the success attained by the championship during the past years, making it one of the main equestrian sport events in the Kingdom.

· First Contest – Mares aged one year (11 contesters) – (Born between 1/10/2013 and 30/9/2014)
First Winner – Mare Lamar Al Khawalid – Owner Khalid Al Mass – Breeder Marbat Al Khawalid – 90.333 points.
Second Winner – Mare Bandora Al Muhanna – Owner and Breeder Naseem Al Muhanna – 90.167 points.
Third Winner – Mare Jood Al Reyahi – Owner and Breeder Sayed Mohammed Jaffar – 89.333 points.

· Second Contest – Mares aged one year (11 contesters) – (Born between 1/10/2013 and 30/9/2014)
First Winner – Mare Ghadeer Al Nebras – Owner and Breeder Mahmoud Abdulqader – 91.167 points.
Second Winner – Mare Jawhara Al Zain – Owner Dr. Bashar Al Sayed – Breeder Marbat Al Zain – 90.000 points.
Third Winner – Mare Dalal Al Dalal – Owner and Breeder Ali Hassan Juma – 89.333 points.

· Third Contest – Mares aged two years (11 contesters) – (Born between 1/10/2012 and 30/9/2013)
First Winner – Mare Decera – Owner Ebraheem Ali – Breeders Susan Jones and Marbat Baijan – 91.667 points.
Second Winner – Mare For Looks Danat – Owner Abdulla Al Mudahiki – Breeder For Looks Arabia – 89.667 points.
Third Winner – Mare Daniella – Owner Ali Abdulrasool – Breeders B.Gamlin, C.Ratckliff and V.Mathews.

The events of the competition continued until late hours yesterday. It was broadcasted live through Bahrain Sports Channel with an analytic studio. The TV coverage was arranged for by the media committee of the championship, in cooperation with Bahrain Television.
Additionally, Monterial Car Showroom has allocated brand new cars as prizes for first place winners, affirming the company’s support to the championship and encouraging participants to show their best performance.

Contests will continue today
Starting at 3 pm today, the second and last day of the competition will kick off, including six contests.

– Second Contest – Mares aged two years (9 contesters) – (Born between 1/10/2013 and 30/9/2014)
– Third Contest – Mares aged three years (11 contesters) – (Born between 1/10/2011 and 30/9/2012)
– Fourth Contest – Stallions aged between 4 and 6 years (13 contesters) – (Born between 1/10/2008 and 30/9/2011)
– Fifth Contest Stallions aged between 7 and 8 years (5 contesters) – (Born between 1/10/2006 and 30/9/2008)
– Sixth Contest – Stallions aged above 9 years (13 contesters) – (Born before 1/10/2006)
