Leger clues likely at HQ

Investec Derby third Romsdal could stake his claim for a tilt at the Ladbrokes St Leger with a run in the Bahrain Trophy at Newmarket on Thursday.
The lightly raced colt ran a career-best to take minor honours behind Australia in the premier Classic at Epsom last month and trainer John Gosden sees him as a likely contender for the Doncaster showpiece in September.
Gosden has two other possibles for the Group Three event over one mile five furlongs in the progressive Forever Now and Marzocco.
Another horse with the St Leger as a possible objective is the Mark Johnston-trained Hartnell, fresh from his victory in the Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot.
Richard Hannon has two likeable types in Bunker and Windshear, who were also in action at the Royal meeting.
Ralph Beckett has given the Bahrain Trophy option to Lingfield Oaks Trial scorer Honor Bound, who was well beaten in the Investec Oaks.
Completing the list of 15 possibles are Automated, Impulsive Moment, Min Alemarat, Miner’s Lamp, Odeon, The Corsican, Vent De Force and Wrangler.
