Management in spotlight

MANAMA: The two-day GCC Certified Management Accountant Summit 2014 starts on Thursday.

Organised by the Bahrain Centre of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), the event themed ‘Management Accountants – Creating Values’, will be held under the patronage of Minister of State for Electricity and Water Affairs Dr Abdulhussain Mirza, who will deliver the inaugural address.

Indian Ambassador Dr Mohan Kumar is the guest of honour.

The event will include several panel discussions and interactive sessions by local and international experts on topics of current interest for senior executives.

Speakers include Telecom Regulatory Authority of India joint adviser Anil K Dhingra, Confederation of Indian Industry senior counsellor Shikhar Jain, ICAI vice-president Dr A S Durga Prasad and ICAI international affairs chairman Sanjay Gupta.

The event is sponsored and supported by Ahlia University, Artha Properties, State Bank of India, Solidarity Insurance, Al Osra Supermarkets, Coca-Cola, Maskati Brothers, Jasmis and others.

It is expected to be attended by members, students, a host of invited guests and professionals from Bahrain, other GCC countries and India.

Being held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, the summit kicks off at 6pm on Thursday with a day-long session on Friday.
