Manama: July 15 — (BNA)– Minister of Human Rights, Dr. Salah bin Ali Abdul-Rahman, received the Ambassadress of the friendly Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Ms. Sabine Taufmann, in the Minister’s office at the Ministry of Human Rights premises in the BFH. At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister welcomed the German Ambassadress , highlighting solid bilateral relations of cooperation and partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Federal Republic of Germany, now these relations span more than 40 years.
The Minister cited aspects of human rights accomplishments under the reign of HM the King, asserting HM the King’s willpower and Government’s determination to continue magnifying the gains for citizens in human rights aspects and to ensure the safeguarding of dues under the provisions of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Constitution. The Minister reiterated the Kingdom of Bahrain’s interest and attention to avail from the accumulated expertise of the friendly Federal Republic of Germany in the field of human rights in order to boost the Ministry’s administrative, organizational and field capabilities.
Dr. Salah bin Ali Abdul-Rahman said that the non-finite, genuine wealth of the Kingdom of Bahrain is its citizens. Therefore, the leadership and the government strive to invest in this wealth. The Ministry, in compliance with the Constitution, is exerting its efforts in safeguarding human rights for everybody on this blessed land – i.e. whether they are Bahraini citizens or expatriate residents.
The Minister accentuated the significance of utilizing the spiritual atmospheres of the holy month of Ramadan in order to boost national unity amongst all components of the community, especially as this holy month during which amity, love and rapprochement increases amongst all disputants. This is a precious opportunity to disseminate atmospheres of tolerance and to shun obstinacy and hatred.
From her side, the Ambassadress of the Federal Republic of Germany, Ms. Sabine Taufmann , welcomed the efforts of the Minister of Human Rights, asserting that everybody should avail of the spirituality of the holy month of Ramadan which has a religious significance for Bahraini people in order to boost national unity and societal cohesion, praising the Ministry’s efforts for this purpose. She pointed out that there are opportunities for mutual cooperation and coordination in the field of human rights between Bahrain and Germany, which will be arranged in the foreseeable future. (IY)
