MP Al-Quood represents Bahrain in Coordinating Committee of Women …

Geneva, Mar 16 (BNA) – MP Latifa bint Mohammed Al-Quood, a member of the Parliamentary Delegation currently participating in the 130th session of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva, today represented Bahrain in the meetings of the Coordinating Committee of Women Parliamentarians associated with the IPU meetings.

During the meeting, Peace and International Security Committee discussed topics of (a world free of nuclear weapons) and (parliaments contribution), while Sustainable Development, Finance and Trade Committee shed light on the development, taking into account demographic trends and natural limitations, and the Democracy and Human Rights Committee focused on the role of parliaments in protecting the rights of children, especially unaccompanied migrant children, and to prevent exploiting them in wars and conflicts.
