“I urge my brothers and sisters in the Consultative Council to stand by the Bahraini citizens who feel that the levy had been arbitrarily imposed,” MP Adel Al Mouawda said. “In fact, the money that was taken from people should be restituted to them because it was not given by their free choice and this is not allowed in Islam,” the Islamist lawmaker said in a statement.
