NA Speaker arrives in Manama

(with photos) MANAMA, Feb 9 (KUNA) — Kuwait’s National Assembly Speaker Ali Al-Rashed arrived Saturday in Bahrain, accompanied by a large parliamentary delegation, at the start of a three-day official visit to the Gulf nation.
“The visit is meant to bolster parliamentary and people-to-people relations between Kuwait and Bahrain,” Al-Rashed said in statements to KUNA and Kuwait TV.
The NA Speaker added the Kuwaiti delegation will discuss with Bahraini counterparts means to upgrade bilateral cooperation and coordinate stances towards issues of common concern.
Meanwhile, Al-Rashed lauded Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa’s calls for national dialogue among Bahrainis of all political hues and all walks of life to iron out differences.
Also speaking to KUNA, Bahraini Parliament Speaker Khalifa Dhahrani welcomed the visiting Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation, stressing the significance of the Kuwaiti visit at this sensitive time for the whole region. (end) mga.ibi KUNA 092157 Feb 13NNNN
