MIDDLE EAST – The National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) has secured six major exhibitions and conferences to be held in the second half of this year.

According to NOGA, the new programme of events will promote Bahrain as a key destination for specialised international conferences and exhibitions, hone the skills of the oil and gas technical national workforce, boost the national economic and revitalise the rate of hotel occupancy.

Events include the first international conference in good governance to open on 17 September, organised by Business Event Management in coordination with NOGA at Crowne Plaza for two days.

The Operational Excellence Middle East Conference will then be organised by Energy Exchange and the Federal Refining in cooperation with NOGA on 28-30 September.

It will be followed by the Middle East Ethylene Conference and Exhibition, scheduled to be held on 14-21 October at the Gulf Hotel Conference and Convention Centre.

The third International Laboratory Technology Conference Exhibition (LABTECH 2014) will be the fourth event scheduled for the second half of this year, followed by the Saudi Arabian International Chemical Sciences Chapter of the American Chemical Society’s event in coordination with University of Bahrain and NOGA on 28-30 October also at the Gulf Hotel Conference and Convention Centre.

NOGA has also scheduled the second Middle East Artificial LiftForum (MEALF) and the Middle East Maintenance Conference Exhibition (MAINTCON).
