National unity against terrorism, external interference stressed

Manama, Sep 7 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister Isa bin Abdulrahman Al-Hammadi has underlined the role of the national front cohesion in maintaining Bahrain, Gulf and Arab security and stability, and the resolve in confronting extremism and terrorism and rejecting foreign interference in internal affairs.
This came as the minister received Jamal Bu-Hassan, the Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Affairs Committee of the Council of Representatives.
The minister took pride in the social cohesion and the awareness of members of the legislative and municipal councils, social clubs and families about defending the homeland security and solidarity with the families of martyrs of duty.
He stressed that the designation of the Martyrs’ National Day ordered by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa represents pride and appreciation of the sacrifices of valiant soldiers defending national and religious principles and the spirit of Arab and Islamic brotherhood.
The minister and MP Bu-Hassan praised the people’s supportive stances for security and military efforts in defending the citizens’ properties and interest, combating extremism, violence and terrorism and the nation’s security against external threats.
Bu-Hassan expressed appreciation of the efforts of the minister and media and press in promoting awareness of national issues, Gulf unity, in preserving civil and social peace and in supporting Arab and Islamic causes.
