A Bahraini firm has set up a new online communication platform to link the kingdom’s chamber of commerce and industry, businesses and government institutions, said a report.

‘Hayacom,’ was launched by Work Smart for Events Management in co-ordination with Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH), reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

The initiative aims at creating an online communication platform linking the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, businesses and government institutions, remarked Work Smart for Events Management chief executive Ahmed Al Hujairy.

He said a fundamental aim of the exercise was to offer merchants an easy way of getting their opinions, suggestions and complaints across to the relevant authorities and speed up the redressal, said the report.

“Hayacom will be a web-based interactive communication platform leveraging social media to initiate better communication between merchants and various government institutions,” explained Al Hujairy, who’s also an adviser to BTECH.

BTECH chairman Ubaydli Ubaydli, who also addressed the media, said moving ahead “Hayacom” will look at creative ways of contributing to the promotion of business activities in the country, thereby helping grow the business sector.

Hayacom will also enable the BCCI to support the business sector more effectively. Through this, the chamber can also influence and contribute in solving the problems of the commercial sector and put right solutions in front of government agencies.

Traders and businessmen are encouraged to flag any obstacles that pose a barrier to the development and growth of various economic sectors in the kingdom, stated Ubaydli.-TradeArabia News Service
