Manama, Sep 9 (BNA) — Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), Dr. Abdulaziz Hassan Abul, today, received the Head of Department of Middle East and North Africa Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Boris Rogue the accompanying delegation currently visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, Dr. Abul briefed the German delegation on the NIHR’s role in promoting and developing human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as the role of the NIHR’s committees represented by the Committee on Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up, Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and Committee on Civil and Political Rights.
On his part, head of the German delegation praised the NIHR’s important role played in disseminating the culture of human rights in the kingdom of Bahrain, and stressed the importance of carrying on coordination and exchange of views and visions between the two sides in the field of human rights.
The meeting was attended by NHIR’s Deputy Chairman and Head of Committee on Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Abdullah Ahmad Derazi, Head of the Committee on Civil and Political Rights Jameela Ali Salman, Secretary General Advisor Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al-Farhan.
