Officials from Gulf News Agencies Conclude meeting in Riyadh
Riyadh, May 27 (ONA)—The 16th meeting of the officials of the news agencies in the GCC Countries concluded at the headquarters of the Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council in Riyadh today under the chairmanship of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The meeting discussed a number of proposals on the agenda of the meeting provided by the news agencies in the Member States.
It discussed the timing of the annual meeting, the introduction of meetings with the news directors and technical managers in the Gulf news agencies. The meeting agreed to the invitation of Bahrain News Agency to participate in the award of the Gulf news agencies that will be presented at the first Gulf Media Forum to be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The meeting reviewed some of the ideas that were adopted at the previous meetings and ways to strengthen coordination and cooperation between news agencies in the member states.
The Oman News Agency (ONA) was represented by Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak al-Araimi, Acting Director General and Editor-in -Chief and Qais bin Ibrahim al-Farsi, Editing Manager.
