Muscat: Oman Olympic Committee Chairman Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Zubair and the board of directors hailed the Oman national basketball team and Oman Basketball Association for achieving third place in third edition of the GCC Junior Basketball Championship, which concluded in Bahrain yesterday. Bahrain had won the title beating Kuwait in the final.

Zubair said, “the achievement is the result of renewed developmental actions by the Oman Basketball Association. I congratulate OBA and the players for the achievement and hope this will encourage the sportsmen to bring more laurels for the country.”
