Commander of the National Guard of Bahrain, Lieutenant General Sheikh Mohammad bin Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, Thursday called on President Mamnoon Hussain at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
He was accompanied by Ambassador of Bahrain Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim Mohamed and  Brig. Abdul Rahman al Saad. Pak side included Secretary to President Himayatullah Khan and Additional Secretary Mr. Ahmad Farooq.
Lt. Gen. Sheikh Mohammad bin Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa felicitated the  President on assuming office of the President of Pakistan and expressed the hope that Pak-Bahrain relations would further strengthen during his tenure.
President Mamnoon Hussain while thanking him remarked that Pakistan  attaches great importance to its relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain and people of Pakistan hold His Majesty the King of Bahrain in a very high esteem.
Expressing satisfaction over the existing relations of the two countries,  the President observed that thousands of Pakistani nationals and Pakistani origin citizens serving in Bahrain were a source of great strength in  further strengthening the bonds between the two countries.
The President said that there exists great potential to further strengthen  our cooperative equation and to take advantage of each others’ potential.
The President also conveyed his best wishes to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.
