Palestinian Embassy marks 39th Land Day

Manama, Apr1(BNA)The Embassy of the State of Palestine has today marked the 39th Land Day, which falls on March 30. Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Dhafer Al-Omrane attended the ceremony, along with MPs, members of the Parliamentary Committee for Solidarity with the Palestinian people.

All Arab ambassadors accredited to Bahrain were also present, along with the Russian and French envoys, leading figures and members of the Palestinian community. Palestinian Ambassador Taha Abdel Qader addressed the ceremony, paying tribute to his people for their sacrifices and historic resistance since the 1948 Nakba to defend their land and confront repressive Israeli policies.
Dr. Al-Omrane paid homage to the Palestinian people for their heroic resistance in braving the Israeli occupation forces and saluted their sacrifices to defence the land of their fathers and forefathers, affirmed Bahrain’s steadfast stance in support of Palestine.
“His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa has affirmed Bahrain’s support to the Palestinian case in all international arenas, calling for the establishment of an independent Palestinian State with al Quds as its capital”, Dr. Al-Omrane said.
