Jolyon Palmer will compete in the next five Friday morning practice sessions as his Lotus F1 Team continue to help the 2014 GP2 Series champion’s Formula 1 introduction.
The Briton will take part in opening practice in next weekend’s Austrian Grand Prix, and then at his home circuit at Silverstone two weeks later, before further outings at the Hungaroring in Hungary, Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium and Monza in Italy.
Palmer, who has already participate in practice sessions in China, Bahrain and Spain, will also run on one of the two test days in the post-Austrian Grand Prix test at the Red Bull Ring.
“I’m really pleased to be driving in FP1 for the rest of the European season,” said Palmer.
“I’ve been happy with my performances so far and the car is improving all the time so, after watching on at the last two events, it will be great to be driving again.”
