Manama, May27 (BNA)Parliament Chairman Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani today received a EU delegation led by Managing Director for North Africa, Middle East, Arabian Peninsula, Iran and Iraq department at the European External Action Service (EEAS) Hugues Mingarelli.

The Parliament Speaker stressed Bahrain-EU legislative and legal relations, highlighting the necessity of bolstering joint cooperation and exchanging expertise. He outlined Bahrain’s strides regarding national legislations relevant to human rights, the rule of the law, justice, freedom of opinion and expression.
Hugues Mingarelli commended Bahrain’s wide-ranging economic and social development, hailing the national reform project led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. Head of EU Delegation to Bahrain, Saudi Arabia Kuwait, Oman and Qatar Adam Colakh attended the meeting along with MPs Ahmed Al-Saati, Abdulla bin Huweil, Latifa Al-Qaoud, Abdulrahman Bumjeed and other officials.
