"Pearl Dagger 14" drill concludes

Manama, Nov. 13. (BNA) – Under the patronage of Chief-of-Staff of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Lieutenant-General Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al Khalifa, the joint naval drill (Pearl Dagger 14) concluded.

Pearl Dagger 14 was carried out by Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), represented by Royal Bahrain Naval Force (RBNF), and the British Armed Forces, represented by the Royal Navy, from October 26 to November 13.

Shaikh Daij was briefed on phases of the Joint naval drill (Pearl Dagger 14) that was conducted out of the military cooperation between BDF and British Armed Forces within a framework of programmes and plans that aim to achieve cooperation, coordination and integration in the field of naval drills, exchange of military and combat expertise, development of operations, promotion of joint military concepts, raise the required level of combat readiness through the exchange of professional expertise and achieve harmonisation between the forces participating in this drill.

Chief-of-Staff affirmed that these drills refine the military capabilities, raise the participants’ efficiency and upgrade their previous levels through the implementation of the required naval applications.

He noted that participants will be able to perform tasks and duties assigned to them efficiently by following the specialised training plans and programmes so as to upgrade the readiness level in dealing with the advanced technologies.

Assistant Chief of Staff for Operation Major-General Dhiyab Saqer Al Nuaimi, Director of Joint Operations Brigadier-General Ghanim Ebrahim Al-Fadhala, Commander of RBNF Commodore Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and a number of BDF officers were present.
