Turkish discount carrier Pegasus Airlines announced that it will be starting flights to Bahrain in a press release on Tuesday.

The carrier’s flights to Bahrain will begin on June 12 with ticket prices starting at 70.99 euros. Pegasus passengers will be able to fly to Bahrain on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from İstanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen International Airport at 10:15 p.m. Flights from Bahrain International Airport to İstanbul will depart on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 3:05 a.m.

Bahrain will be connected with 11 locations in Turkey via Pegasus, including Adana, İzmir, Antalya, Van, Diyarbakır, Ankara and Trabzon, and 33 locations in Europe, including Amsterdam, Athens, Berlin, Moscow, Rome, Madrid, Paris and London. With the new route, the total number of destinations served by Pegasus has increased to 78 in 34 countries.

The carrier has expanded from a fleet of just two planes in 1990 to 40 aircraft, mostly new Boeing 737-800s. Owned by Esas Holding, Pegasus placed a $7.5 billion order in December 2012 for 100 Airbus A320neo planes, the largest single aircraft order made by an airline in Turkey.

In August 2013 Pegasus offered 34.5 percent of its shares to the public.
