As with Australia’s compounds, which were confirmed last week, Pirelli stipulates one set of medium and soft tyres must be set aside for the races in Bahrain (April 3) and China (April 17).
With 13 sets of tyres in total made available over the weekend, teams have free choice over their individual allocations for the remaining 10 sets.
Pirelli has revealed the tyre compounds available for the 2016 Bahrain and Chinese Grands Prix.
The 2016 tyre choices so far:1.
The Italian firm have also named the three compulsory sets which will be issued to each vehicle.
The soft and the medium will be the mandatory compounds that will need to be used at some point during the race.
Following on from the 2016 regulations, each driver must save one set of the softest of the three nominated compounds for Q3. Those not making Q3 keep hold of their supersoft set for the race, as is current practice. If the team misses a deadline Pirelli makes the selection on its behalf.
