Premier deputises Education Minister to attend AOU graduation ceremony

Manama, Nov27(BNA) His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa deputised Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi to attend the 8th graduation ceremony at the Arab Open University (AOU)-Bahrain Branch.

Dr. Al-Nuaimi extended thanks to HRH the Premier for patronising the 8th AOU graduation ceremony, hailing his keenness to encourage higher education. In a statement on this occasion, he stressed the vocation of the Higher Education Council (HEC) to encourage investment in higher education while ensuring quality academic standards.

Dr. Al-Nuaimi, also (HEC) Chairman, congratulated the 8th batch of AOU graduates, wishing them every success in their life in the future. AOU Executive Committee Chairman Dr. Ali Fakhro addressed the ceremony on behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud hailing the inauguration of the new AOU headquarters.

The inaugural ceremony was held two months ago under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, in the presence of Personal Representative Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa. On behalf of the AOU affiliates, he congratulated the graduates as well as their families, hailing their years-long dedication and assiduity.

(AOU)-Bahrain Branch director Dr. Khaldoon Abdulrazak Al-Roomi also addressed the ceremony paying tribute to HRH the Premier for his patronage, extending thanks to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister for his support. He hailed the graduation of 141 students as part of the 8th batch out of an overall 1255 graduates over the past years.
Dr. Khaldoon Abdulrazak Al-Roomi and Dr. Ali Fakhro then presented the graduates with their certificates, wishing them every success in their life and future studies.
