SANA’A, Sep. 10 (Saba) – President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi met here on Tuesday with Bahraini Shura Council First Vice-Chairman Jamal Fakhro and Foreign Affairs Committee’s Chairman at the Council Khalid al-Khalifa.
During the meeting, Hadi talked about the critical situation the country has undergone as a result of the crisis erupted in early 2011 and the successes realized so far under the Gulf initiative, including and the achievements of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC).
The President underlined Yemen’s position in support of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its solidarity with the Kingdom in all the issues.
Fakhro pointed to the strong and deep-rooted ties liked between the two countries, stressing that ending Yemen’s crisis safely is a matter that concerns the whole region.
He praised the successes accomplished until now, saying that the success of the national dialogue is a historic step towards a better future for Yemen.
Upon his arrival today to Sana’a, the Bahraini Shura Council Vice-Chairman said that the visit aims to get acquainted with the implementation progress of the recommendations of the Conference of the Association of Senates, Shura and Equivalent Councils in Africa and the Arab World held last May in Bahrain.
On the sidelines of the several-day visit to the country, the Bahraini official said that he will meet with officials in the Yemeni Shura Council to strengthen the cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries.
Replying a question about his message the debaters in the NDC, Fakhro said “Yemenis do not need to be directed. The Yemeni people and political parties are well aware that there is no way to end the crisis but by the table of dialogue and to make concessions in the favor of the state and people of Yemen.”
He expressed his confident that the dialogue’s outcomes will be reflected positively on the local and regional situation, as Yemen’ stability is part of the stability of the Gulf countries and the Arab world as well.
