Prince Alwaleed gifts new car to gold medal winner

Saudi businessman Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal has gifted a new car to Saudi gold medal champion Yousef Masrahi after he won the 400 metres race at the Incheon Asian Games, it was reported on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old won with a time of 44.46 seconds, beating Bahrain’s Abbas Abubaker into second with a time of 45.62 second. India’s Arokia Rajiv took bronze with a time of 45.92 seconds.

Last month, the prince, who is chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), gifted 38 cars and two SUVs to the players and members of the Saudi National Team for Para-Athlete with an intellectual disability at a meeting at his palace in Riyadh.

At the meeting, Prince Alwaleed stressed the need to support sports and the athletes as well as the development of clubs in Saudi Arabia and to encourage the young generation to hone its athletic skills and invest their time in useful activities.
