RAP summer camp kicks off

Manama, Aug 10 (BNA) — Royal Academy of Police (RAP) summer camp activities today kicked off, which is organized by the Ministry of Interior in collaboration with Tamkeen.
The summer camp programme included a number of field visits, lectures and other activities.

The participating student in the RAP summer camp activities were taken in organized visits to Coast Guard Command and Civil Defense School, where they were briefed on the various departments and modern equipment used, in addition to the mechanism of the implementation of workflow and tasks. They were also were taken to Bahrain National Museum to learn about the heritage and history of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Al-Areen Wildlife Park to be familiarized with nature of wildlife and ways to protect it, and other group of students taken to the Lost Paradise of Delmon site where they were briefed on rescuing and first aid.

The camp programme also included a visit to the Institute of Public Administration, where the visiting students listened to a lecture on leadership, teamwork, shouldering responsibility and self-reliance.

For the spot activities, some students were lectured on the principles of Taekwondo in order to learn the skills of self-defense, while other groups preferred to take football exercises.
