Rebellion R-One Toyotas Ready For The Desert’s Challenge
For the penultimate race of the season, the two Rebellion R-One Toyota cars will face another challenge with their first outing at the desert track of the Bahrain International Circuit.
The Bahrain International Circuit is a tough track for tyres and brakes alike. Its mix of long straights and predominantly low – and medium – speed corners meaning that good grip and efficient braking are key factors. The 3.363-mile / 5.412km track will provide a complex technical challenge for the Swiss team, placing high demand on the drivers and testing the Rebellion R-One Toyotas.
REBELLION Racing’s aim for this race is unchanged, to retain their domination in the LMP1-L category and to finish the race as close as possible to the podium. After two 1-2 finishes in a row amongst the LMP1-L class at the previous rounds of the FIA WEC, REBELLION Racing will try to do the hat trick with a third 1-2 class win, for a seventh win in seven races.
The driver line-up will remain unchanged as Nick Heidfeld, Nicolas Prost and Mathias Beche will drive the #12 R-One, Andrea Belicchi, Dominik Kraihamer and Fabio Leimer will be at the wheel of the #13 R-One.
The 6 Hours of Bahrain race will start on Saturday 16th November at 15:00 local time (13:00 CET).
