Bahraini regime forces assaulted Monday the partic
ipants in an Ashura ceremony in Mameer area southern Manama by using toxic gas bombs.
The Islamic Wefaq association reported that a number of participants were suffocated, especially the children, women and elderly.
The association considered that these practices reveal that the regime does not respect the religious freedom.
“This is not the first time that the regime forces violate the sanctity of this occasion,” it added, reporting the previous years’ cases.
