Royal vow to push reform stressed

LONDON: The Crown Prince affirmed that unprecedented steps taken by Bahrain reflect His Majesty’s commitment to his comprehensive reform process.

During a meeting with Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs William Hague, the Crown Prince said Bahrain believed in the need to face challenges in the path of reform.

Letter

The Crown Prince stressed that it must be done in Bahrain’s interests and within a Bahraini framework implemented in unified Bahraini spirit.

He expressed satisfaction with growing co-operation between Bahrain and Britain in reinforcing regional stability.

Mr Hague presented him with a letter from Prime Minister David Cameron.

He praised Bahrain’s steps to implement recommendations. He also affirmed that relations were going in the direction both countries were aspiring to.

Shaikh Khalid, Shaikh Ahmed, Shaikh Mohammed and Ms Samaan were present.
