Dr. Aysha Al Busmait, Director of Marketing Corporate Communication cum Chairperson of RTA Women Committee, received the delegation which comprised Sheikha Deena Rashid Al Khalifa, Head of Bilateral Relations, Higher Women Council, Kingdom of Bahrain; Rana Ahmed Khalifa, Director of Programs Projects in the Council; in addition to several officials from the Dubai Women Establishment; and members of RTA Women Committee.
Dr. Aysha praised this positive communication with external entities as it contributes effectively to exchanging expertise, and forging stronger social knowledge links between employees thus empowering women to assume leading positions. Roles of RTA Women committee focus on a sustained efforts to raise the awareness, and develop educative programs in support of the role of working women in all fields such as sports, cultural and social fields. It also attends to running programs to enhance joint participations in women-related events, and holding women forums in a variety of fields.
The meeting included a visual presentation covering the key business and activities of RTA Women Committee in the past as well as its future plans, besides reviewing the main educative and health symposiums held by the RTA where a bunch of specialists are hosted to shed light on their respective fields. Discussions also covered site visits and picnics and participations in social national events as well as charitable activities.
Sheikha Deena Rashid Al Khalifa praised this visit which reflected the spirit of cooperation with external entities, and RTA’s keenness on opening channels contributing to exchanging practices for the sake of improving business processes, and lending support to women-related fields in order to raise them to the highest levels in the community, and achieve gender equality as far as the occupation of key positions is concerned.
Sheikh Deena commended the distinctive role of the Women Committee in staging a diverse cast of initiatives events; which have significant bearing on diffusing values and uplifting the profile of women working in various disciplines. “These endeavours would prompt us to establish sustained communication channels with the Committee, and partner in staging conferences, symposiums and events to achieve our prime objective of raising the image of women.
