Manama, Nov18(BNA) The Chief of Public Security Major-General Tariq Al Hassan affirmed on Monday the arrest of remaining suspects of forced robbery of a watch shop at a commercial mall in Manama on September 10.
He said that cooperation with Kosovo Police has succeeded in arresting them after Bahrain police had identified all of them and arrest some and got back most of the stolen watches.
The Chief said that the security approach reflects high performance and professionalism of the police to provide the best security services. He said that the swift response, coordination between police authorities and the utilization of modern technology had helped in solving the case and identification of suspects as they were chased inside and outside Bahrain.
Some of the suspects were arrested in Bahrain, while red notices were issued by the Interpol for the remaining ones. One Kosovo national was arrested in Albania.
The Chief said that the last weeks witnessed high coordination with Kosovo police that expressed willingness for more cooperation during a second meeting between the two parties in October during the eighty-second session of the Interpol in Colombia. He highlighted the importance to fight all forms of organized and cross border crimes. He also stressed the dedication of Bahrain to limit such crimes by cooperation with the Interpol and member countries.
The official website of the Interpol has published a report about the case, in which it hailed the potentials of Bahrain police that enabled them to collect evidences and identify the suspects. The report also mentioned that the red notices were distributed among 190 member countries.
