Manama, Dec.26 (BNA): Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, the President Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), Dilminia Showjumping Championship was held at the field of the Military Sports Federation in Al Raffa, Sakhir on Friday.

Rider Sami Ghazwan won the Grand Prize contest that included hurdles height of 120 – 130 cm and course speed of 350metre/minute. Sami Ghazwan finished the contest in 43:11 seconds.

Attending the contests of the championship was Shaikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the President of the Showjumping Committee in BREEF. Representatives from Dilmuni and Ithmar Bank Mr. Mohammed Khalil and Jean Claude participated in the winners’ crowning ceremony.

Rider Mayoof Al Rumaihi won the first place of the first juniors contest, finishing his round in 28:20 seconds. The contest included hurdles height of 80 – 95 cm and course speed of 300m/m. Mayoof Al Rumaihi also bagged the title second juniors contest which included hurdles height of 95 – 105 cm and course speed of 300m/m. He finished in 50:88 seconds.

Rider Ali Isa dominated the first and second adults contests, finishing them in 47:14 seconds and 49:40 seconds, respectively.

The first contest consisted of hurdles height of 90– 100 cm and course speed of 350m/m. The second contest included hurdles height 105 – 115 cm and course speed of 350m/m.
