SAP MENA appoints new country manager

SAP MENA has appointed Rami Amkieh as country manager for Oman, Bahrain, Pakistan and Yemen.

Reporting directly to Gergi Abboud, managing director – Gulf Pakistan, SAP MENA, Amkieh’s role is an integral part of SAP’s expansion in the region.

Before joining SAP as a territory sales manager for the GCC, Amkieh worked in Saudi Arabia as business development manager at BT-Applied Technology, region business development manager at Zuhair Fayez Parternship-Information Technology and as account and product manager at Softnet Systems/Gulf Stars.

In his new role, he will be responsible for driving all aspects of SAP’s business operations, including building on the company’s customer base, building and shifting market capacity, fostering a vibrant partner and ecosystem presence, increasing brand awareness, and building strategic partnerships with both the private and public sector.

“Rami has made invaluable contributions to building SAP’s business in the region over the past few years, and is now set to play an even more significant role as we step up our operations in Oman, Bahrain, Pakistan and Yemen,” said Abboud.
