JEDDAH — Saudi Arabian Airlines has added 29,000 seats to its flights to and from Bahrain over 2015.
Abdul Rahman Al-Fahd, assistant director general for public relations, said the seating capacity of flights operating to Bahrain would reach 142,956 this year from 113,934 in 2014.
“Five new weekly flights will be added to the existing 19 weekly flights to Bahrain.
“Accordingly, there will be 38 weekly flights between the two countries, a rise of 33 percent.”
Al-Fahd said direct flights from Jeddah to Manama were increased to 10 from seven in February, while they will be increased to nine from seven from Riyadh starting May 3.
“There will be 20 direct flights every week from Jeddah to Manama and back and 18 between Riyadh and the capital of Bahrain.”
He said three new flights from Jeddah to Manama would be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, departing at 8 p.m. and landing at 10:10 p.m.
“The flight back to Jeddah will take off from Manama at 11:10 p.m. and reach at 1:40 a.m.,” he said.
He added that the two new flights from Riyadh would be on Tuesdays and Saturdays, departing at 6:50 a.m. and reaching at 8:05 a.m.
“The two fights will depart from Manama en route to Riyadh at 9 a.m.,” he said.
