Manama-Oct1(BNA) Supreme Council for Women (SCW) Secretary-General Hala Al-Ansari today visited the headquarters of the Woman Competence Development Centre (Riyadat), accompanied by Bahrain Development Bank Chief Executive Officer Nidhal Saleh Al-Awjan.
The Supreme Council for Women established the facility in partnership with the Bahrain Development Bank and the Bahrain Centre for Industrial Development.
Ms. Al-Ansari met a number of beneficiaries and inspected several outlets as well the BDB Branch.

She stressed the important vocation of the centre in promoting women’s economic empowerment and providing work opportunities for beneficiaries wishing to set up their own businesses.

Bahrain Development Bank Chief Executive Officer Nidhal Saleh Al-Awjan stressed the importance of the facility, the first of its kind in the region, announcing that the official opening of the centre would be early next month.

Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and SCW President laid the foundation stone for the RIYADAT on February22, 2010.
