Manama, Jun 28 (BNA) – Supreme Council for Women (SCW) has announced its Ramadan programme, which includes a series of meetings and television programs aim to highlight the main projects carried out in the framework of the national plan for the advancement of Bahraini women.
The meetings will be held in cooperation with Bahrain Women Union and the Cooperation Committee between SCW and other women committees and societies at 9:30 PM.
SCW member, Shaikha Lubna bint Abdulla Al Khalifa, on 30 June 2014, will discuss the role of civil society institutions in bolstering Bahraini women’s contribution to the national economic and social development process.
Dr. FadheelaTaher will discuss a strategy to combat violence against women in Riffa Cultural Society, on 2 July 2014, while another meeting will be held in the Mjlis of Isa bin Mubarak Al-Qubaisi in Hidd to tackle the rights of Bahraini women.
The second week of Ramadan will witness Mohammad Mussaed Al-Rubayan of Kuwait to speak about the culture of self-investment and family structure. And on Wednesday, Bahraini women empowerment programs will be discussed at Askar port Hall. The same week will also include youth entertaining competitions under the title (Challenge you) and Youth Creation Exhibition at the Bahraini Women’s Capacity Building and Entrepreneurship Center in A’Ali.
SCW member, Dalal Al-Za’id, in the third week, will talk about Bahraini women’s rights, while the SCW Ramadan programme will conclude its activities by holding a session on the familial communication and stability at the Headquarters of Mother and Child Welfare Society.
SCW programme will also include a series of TV programmes to target raising awareness on health and familial stability issues to be presented by Dr. Amal Al-Jowder.
