Al Wefaq National Islamic Society voiced wide anger and discontent among Bahraini families of distinct high school graduates who have been deprived from scholarships based on the authority’s policy of sectarian persecution.
Al Wefaq confirmed that a number of distinct students who graduated with a ratio higher than 98% have been deprived from scholarships. Others were given majors they didn’t desire, this goes along with other troubles the students and their families will have to go through because of the official sectarian discrimination that is controlling many aspects of life in Bahrain. The distribution of scholarships is a humanitarian issue of which the Bahraini people are suffering from.
Al Wefaq stressed that the assigned and unquestioned government and the unilateral management of life in Bahrain puts issues like scholarships, jobs, religious rituals, state services under the hands of sectarian discrimination and persecution. It is a crime against the homeland when those who are distinct are subjected to deprivation.
