Manama, Feb. 6. (BNA) – Head of His Royal Highness Prime Minister’s Court Shaikh Hussam bin Isa Al Khalifa said that His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa is keen to upgrade the quality of health and medical services in all health establishments in the kingdom tops, noting that the government has approved many programmes and plans to develop the quality of health and medical services so as to meet the citizens’ expectations and appeal to them.
Speaking as he received here today the President of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain) Professor Tom Collins, Shaikh Hussam praised the crucial role played by RCSI Bahrain in teaching, training and rehabilitating Bahraini medical cadres according to the latest techniques, indicating that the government is keen to put in place all suitable conditions in order to attract world medical establishments into the kingdom, in line with its efforts to make Bahrain an outstanding hub of health care and therapeutic tourism.
He added that the Kingdom’s hosting and cooperation with RCSI reflects the government’s desire to develop the health sector, especially its human resources, through taking advantage of RCSI’s expertise.
On his part, Professor Tom Collins lauded HRH Premier’s constant support for RCSI Bahrain, reflected in his patronage of its annual graduation ceremony, affirming RCSI Bahrain’s keenness to consolidate cooperation with public and private medical establishments in the kingdom so as to boost the medical sector and provide it with highly-qualified cadres.
