Manama, Aug. 20 (BNA): Shaikh Khalifa bin Rashid Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today Shura Council member Dr. Jihad Al Fadhel.

They discussed the role of the Shura Council in boosting the democratic march in Bahrain.

Shaikh Khalifa praised the role of the Shura Council in promoting democracy, lauding the national competencies it has and their contribution to fostering the culture of the bicameral system in legislation. He also commended the efforts of Dr. Jihad in mirroring participation of Bahraini women in national development, wishing her more success.

Dr. Jihad thanked Shaikh Khalifa, stressing development of the democratic experience in Bahrain within the framework of pluralism and openness.
