Manama, Jan 28 (BNA) – The Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today received the SCYS General Secretary and Bahrain Football Association BFA Honorary President H.E. Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa and the nominated Bahraini referees for the 2014 Brazil World Cup, including Nawaf Shukrallah, Yasser Tulefat,, Ibrahim Sabt and Adel Al Samaheejy.

HH Shaikh Nasser hailed the great achievements of Bahraini referees, being among the best internationally and proving their presence in intercontinental and international football events.

He said “we are proud of what Bahraini referees have gained throughout the years, they are globally recognised for their good reputation and being efficient, devoted, honest and technically experienced. It is their skills that nominated them to run such a renowned championship.”

BFA Honorary President praised HH Shaikh Nasser for receiving the refereeing crew, assuring that HH Shaikh Nasser continuous support and auspices of Bahraini referees contributed in promoting their skills, abilities and international recognition.

The refereeing crew expressed their gratitude to HH Shaikh Nasser for his patronage, considering it a major motivation to represent the Kingdom in international sport arenas and events.
