Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad receives Windsor Horse Show Festival director

Manama, June8(BNA) Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa stressed the importance of holding promotional equestrian festivals.

Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, also Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation Honorary President, said that equestrianism is a deep-rooted and long-standing sport in the Kingdom . He was speaking as he received British Royal Horse Show Festival director and Producer Simon Brooks. The meeting was attended by Shaikh Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club High Committee Deputy Chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa.
Shaikh Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club High Committee member and Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation Chairman Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid bin Isa Al-Khalifa and other officials also attended.
Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa and Simon Brooks discussed the success of the second edition of the Windsor Horse Show Festival, pointing out the outstanding results achieved by Bahraini riders in the showjumping and endurance championships.
“Bahrain’s participation in the Windsor Horse Show Festival followed directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa”, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad said, stressing the royal keenness on competing in such high profile events to project Bahrain’s landmark achievements.
He commended the efforts undertaken by the organising committee in charge of the Windsor Horse Show Festival, which witnessed Bahrain’s participation for the second consecutive year. He also lauded deep-rooted Bahraini-British relations, highlighting royal directives to bolster bilateral ties and expand joint cooperation.
