Shaikh Nasser patronises graduation ceremony

Manama, Dec. 5. (BNA) – Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has called for the need to develop and rehabilitate Bahraini sports cadres in order to upgrade the sports sector and the youth and sport movement in the kingdom.

He said that BOC had succeeded in organising a number of training sessions for the aim of developing sports cadres in the management and training fields, which, he asserted, has reflected positively on the march of the Bahraini sport.

This came as he attended the annual graduation ceremony of the students of the Sports Management Course, organised under his patronage by BOC’s Sports Training and Development Department, in cooperation with the World Academy of Sport (WAoS), at the Sofitel Hoel in Zallaq.

Members of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, BOC’s Board, presidents of sports federations and scores of guests attended.

Shaikh Nasser asserted that the Sports Management Course was among the most successful programmes organised by BOC for the aim of upgrading the management skills of sports cadres in the kingdom, noting that BOC’s programmes have attained remarkable success.

During the ceremony, Shaikh Nasser presented the 57 graduates with certificates, wishing them every success.

Acting BOC Secretary-General Abdulrahman Askar and Director of World Academy of Sport Chris Solly offered Shaikh Nasser two commemorative gifts.

Abdulrahman Askar expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to Shaikh Nasser for patronising the graduation ceremony, noting that the kind move reflects his constant support to efforts to hold scientific training sessions that aim to upgrade the sports movement in the kingdom.

He also congratulated the graduates, wishing further success.
